This Catholic order has been around for 735 years – founded in 1290 by Count Floris V. That’s older than most countries. The ceremony was incredible, knowing I’m now part of something that’s survived literally everything history could throw at it.
What hits me most is thinking about all the knights before me who took these same vows. Medieval times, Renaissance, world wars and somehow this tradition kept going. Now I’m part of that story.
Still doesn’t feel real but feeling incredibly grateful. Sometimes life surprises you in ways you never see coming.”
